Pinot Noir - Sharpham Estate - Sandridge Barton - Devon

2022 vintage. Making red wine in a cool climate is a challenge, but this has become one of Sharpham's best-sellers, though production is limited. Expect bright aromas of wild strawberry, dark cherry and cranberry with a hint of baking spice. 6 months in 3rd fill French oak give it a lovely texture and hint of cedar. A rounded and delicate palate with cranberries and redcurrants, bright acidity, fine tannins and spice on the finish. This wine is drinking well in its youth but those with patience will reap the rewards a few years down the line.
