Malbec/Carmenère - Don Rosendo Select - Bodega Don Rosendo - Luyan de Cuyo - Argentina

An interesting and very delicious Argentine take on a Bordeaux blend. The Carmenère contributes spicy notes, liveliness, and a herbal touch, while the Malbec provides black fruit flavours, floral violet notes and a perception of sweetness. A fragrant nose with notes of cassis, plum, and cherry, along with fine tannins and a fresh, long finish.

Winemaking Process: The grapes undergo pre-fermentation cold maceration, followed by alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures. This is followed by a post-fermentation maceration and malolactic fermentation in barrels. The wine is aged in 2nd and 3rd use French barrels for 8 months.

This intriguing red blend pairs well with beef, lamb, poultry, and pasta dishes.
