Syrah - La Mascaronne - Organic - Provence - France
Red Wine
Chateau La Mascaronne
La Mascaronne’s terroir is ideal for cultivating grapes to produce red wine. Part of the estate’s legacy, the grapevines that produce the grapes used to craft Château La Mascaronne Rouge are planted on the vineyard’s ideally oriented higher elevations. Syrah grapes make up the lion’s share of the blend, alongside a smaller amount of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Grapes are selected according to stringent criteria in the vineyard and the cellar, and only the best berries are used in the estate’s wines. In the cellars, a portion of red wine is aged for one year in French oak barrels. Intense and complex, with excellent structure, Château La Mascaronne Rouge is most enjoyable five to ten years after harvest.
A dark intense red with hints of berries, fresh pepper and slight oak. Slightly fruity, concentrated and rounded with a long finish.
