Hautes Cotes de Beaune Rouge Vieilles Vignes - Sebastien Magnien - Burgundy - France
Domaine Sébastien Magnien is located in Meursault , in Burgundy . The estate has been managed since 2003 by Sébastien Magnienand his mother Brigitte. From 1983 and for 20 years, Sébastien's parents painstakingly bought 2.5 hectares of vines in several appellations of the Côte de Beaune. In 2003, they inherited the Domaine Parigot vineyard in Meloisey in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune. The Domaine Sébastien Magnien therefore extends today over 12 hectares in 9 appellations and is conducted in sustainable agriculture .
The Hautes Côtes de Beaune Rouge is made from old Pinot Noir vines harvested manually and carefully sorted in the vineyard and in the cellar. The vinifications are traditional with a vatting period of approximately 3 weeks. The wines are aged exclusively in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months
A very appealing and well balanced wine - offers attractive scents of wild berries and forest fruits. Succulent dark hedgerow fruit flavours are lifted by delicate tannins and a refreshing mineral character. .
