Chardonnay - The Eleanor - Hartenberg - Stellenbosch - South Africa

Named after the matriarch of the Finlayson family, who owned Hartenberg between 1948 and 1977. She was said to be strong and resolute in character, yet always sophisticated and poised – much like this Chardonnay.

Citrus, lanolin, hay and tropical fruits on the nose with subtle toasted brioche notes. On the palate, it’s plush and rich on entry, yet shows a fine acidity which balances the wine perfectly.

A restrained elegance and lingering aftertaste completes this very fine New World Chardonnay.
