Aperol was created by the Barbieri brothers and launched in 1919 at the Padua International Fair, soon becoming one of Italy's favourite liqueurs, since then it's taken the world by storm. The original recipe has remained unchanged since 1919.
To make the perfect Aperol Spritz, fill a large wine glass with ice. Combine Prosecco followed by Aperol in equal parts and add a dash of soda water. Stir and garnish with a slice of orange. Salute!
