Rioja Blanco - Finca Allende - Rioja - Spain

Sourced from a 55-year-old vineyard in the La Rioja Alta village of Briones. The vines are bush trained and are treated with organic fertilizers and no herbicides. This is a blend of 95% Viura and 5% Malvasia that is fermented and aged in French oak barrels. This is a classic white Rioja with a Burgundian twist. The oak is present and defining but not overwhelming, it allows for the citrus and exotic fruits and flowers to shine and softens the acidity.

It has a classical oaked white Rioja nose, with some nutty undertones, spice, dried flowers and a hint of petrol. The palate has focused, intense flavors, and the oak is nicely integrated.
