Primitivo - Grifone - Puglia - Italy

Castellani was established in Montecalvoli at the end of the 19th century by Alfredo Castellani. In 1903. 

Grifone Primitivo comes from vineyards in the Puglia region. Grapes are handpicked at their peak and crafted into a deep, inky red wine with dark and intense ruby colour.

Aromas of liquorice and blackberry. Luscious notes of plums and stewed cherries follows through on the palate making it a captivating wine.

Full-bodied, warm & fruity, with strong, lingering tannins. It's a wine that’s meant to be enjoyed.

Delightful to drink with grilled meats, game, rich cheeses and of course meatballs, pasta & pizza!
