Stretching along Italy’s eastern coast with neighbors, Umbria to its west and Abruzzo to its south, Marche is a region with a varying climate from north to south. Its coastal plains roll into hills that become the Apennine Mountains, which run the length of the country. The Marche's best red wines come from the grapes, Montepulciano and Sangiovese; the local Verdicchio makes refreshing, crisp and light whites. This is from the smaller higher altitude DOC and DOCG region of Matelica - the cold nights here lend extreme freshness and minerality to the Verdicchio grape.

Pale straw yellow in color with lovely green reflections. An intense nose with typical aromas of Verdicchio and notes of white flowers and green apple. On the palate this wine is intense, warm, tasty, fresh and quite balanced.

It will pair wonderfully with your favorite fresh cheeses or seafood dishes.
