The Island's Rosé - Moraitiko - Paros - Greece - Organic

A stunning example of the what the Greeks can do with Rosé! Hailing from the island of Paros, part of the Cyclades, in the Aegean Sea. This is one of the best rosés we have tasted and trumps many a higher priced Provence. Pretty pale copper pink hue, made from Malagouzia, Mandilaria and Mavrotragano. The nose is fragrant but not sweet, it has the classic aromas of red fruit (strawberry, raspberry) but with lovely lifted herbal notes too, mint leaves, thyme herbs... On palate there is ripe red fruit but also blood orange, pomegranate and ginger notes lending a multi-layered sophistication and savoury bite with great acidity on the finish.  

Food pairing: Dolmades with currants, salads with pomegranate seeds, goats cheese, even some spicy dishes like mild curries and dhals.
