A restained yet tasty Sauvignon Blanc, with juicy flavours like crisp green apple, grass, and fresh citrus – plus pronounced minerality from the vineyard's volcanic soils. Great mouthfeel. A lot of wine and winemaking for the money.
Serving suggestions - chicken, seafood, pasta, and roasted vegetable dishes with lemon-based sauces, as well as be a perfect accompaniment to creamy goat cheese. 12.5%
The wine comes from a single vineyard named Epreskert near Gyöngyöstarján in Mátra. Under third-generation winemaker Péter Benedek, the grapes are organically farmed in volcanic soils, undergo native yeast fermentation, and then the wine is aged in a tank on the lees.
