Highly rated by wine critics and collectors , this iconic Gigondas is made in the heart of the region by Florence Cartier on her 17th century family vineyard on 60 year old vines. Exceptionally fine wine that has plenty of cellar life. Will benefit from being carafed in order to bring out the wine's full potential of expression and complexity. No chemicals are used at any stage of production and the vineyard is currently in Organic Conversion.
Coffee bean and vanilla pod oak work well with the fruit. Full-bodied, there's a little herbal touch in the background, hints of garrigue.
