Aglianico - Settemazze - Donna Elvira - Campania - Italy

Donna Elvira Settemazze Aglianico is a red wine that best expresses the Aglianico grape variety.  Aglianico’s quality, compared to Nebbiolo, is sometimes called the Barolo of the south, due to its ability to produce high quality wines of such intensity and complexity.

On the nose, the aromas are intense, complex and consistent. On palate it is full-bodied with red fruits: notes of cherry, strawberry and forest fruit and spice notes in particular vanilla, pepper, toasted coffee, chocolate and liquorice, and tobacco notes with a lovely mouthfeel and a substantial length.

We suggest pairing Settemazze Aglianico with game and roasted red meat. Delicious with venison, pheasant or a rib eye steak.
