From their perch in the lofty Piekenierskloof region, these dryland bush vines have seen and lived through it all; extreme conditions include temperature fluctuations, while being rooted in a dry layer of sandstone and granite soils with just enough water to produce grapes that add truly exceptional depth and complexity.

These conditions produce low yields giving real length and breadth to this lovely Chenin. Picked by hand and cooled overnight, then destemmed, crushed and left for 4 hours to obtain skin contact. Partially natural fermented in a combination of barrel and tank and matured on fine lees for 6 months. This wine is honeyed, with flavours of quince, pear and baking spice with lots of length and depth.
