Monte da Ravasqueira is a quality wine producer in the Alentejo region of SE Portugal, which is the warmest and driest area of the country. ideal for growing and ripening grapes the region has recently become recognised as one of Portugal's best wine regions.

This white is labelled Vinho Regional Alentejano (the Portuguese equivalent of Vin de Pays/Vino de la Tierra) and made from a blend of Antao Vaz & Arinto, the latter one of Portugal's best white varieties and which makes the famous Bucelas.

Very pale straw in colour, the aroma is restrained with hints of  lime and white peach, while the palate is balanced, fresh and appealing. Its fruitiness (lime) is restrained by New World standards but it is not a thin, acidic wine by any means. It makes a great aperitif and first course wine, plus would suit seafood of course.
